Potato Crisps Making Machine in Kenya

Kenya has a large area dedicated to potato cultivation and enjoys stable yields, resulting in ample supply in the local market. However, potatoes are primarily sold as raw materials, leading to low added value and vulnerability to market fluctuations. To address this situation and increase product value, a client from Kenya decided to invest in building a potato crisps processing plant to process his own grown potatoes into potato crisps before selling them.

Compared to directly selling fresh potatoes, potato crisps, as a popular snack food, have the advantages of a longer shelf life, easier transportation, and wider distribution channels. Potato crisps have a stable consumer base in various locations, including supermarkets, convenience stores, and wholesale markets.

During their initial market research, the Kenyan client discovered that potatoes of the same weight, when processed into potato crisps, commanded a significantly higher market price than raw potatoes, and offered a more controllable profit margin. Therefore, they decided to fully utilize their own potato resources by building a potato crisps processing plant, thus upgrading from "potatoes" to "potato crisps."

Since this was the client's first venture into potato crisps production, he was very cautious in his equipment selection. After multiple discussions with us, the client ultimately chose our potato crisps making machine with a minimum capacity of 100 kg/h to build his first potato crisps production line. Although this is a semi-automatic production line, the client believed that it would not increase his production costs due to the low labor costs in his region.

During the project implementation process, we not only provided our Kenyan client with potato crisps making machine, but also offered layout and production suggestions based on their raw material conditions and factory size. This helped the client successfully complete the construction of the new factory and prepare for production.
